Experience riding with quiet Texas Longhorn cattle.
Long story short
An Australian owned and operated family business, Trevor & Jenny started breeding Texas Longhorns in WA back in 1995. With a keen interest in rodeo, Trev started supplying timed rodeo stock to Western Australian rodeos, while his son Phill competed in saddle bronc and steer wrestling. The sport of horses and cattle has passed through the generations and now the 3 grandchildren compete in rodeo, barrel racing, team penning & ranch sorting. Jenny helps keeps everyone calories up and is always around ensuring the scones are fresh and coffee hot!
Mychelle (the city slicker!) met her cowboy Phill at a rodeo and now they both look after the cattle on their farm in Meelon, WA. Their cattle clinic programs include running a variety of classes that increase knowledge and skills, but most importantly, boost confidence in riding. Mychelle thoroughly enjoys meeting new people and is especially amazed to see the junior riders confidence soar when tracking around cattle. Phill along with the 3 children, and Bud (the dog- see below), keep the herd well fed and looked after.
Phils & Mychelles Herd
Bud, well he barks the birds and motorbikes away and is generally the boss of the arena. He prefers humans to dogs and insists no other dogs are allowed on the property to compete in stealing sausages from the BBQ.
